A good way to lose weight could be through low carb dieting. The problem is that the dieters will be expected to do without the tempting sweets and foods mainly based on bread. This makes it difficult as surrendering to the urge of taking the high carb foods results to piling back of any pounds that had been lost. This is the reason as to why the dieters should get substitutes for any of the foods that are low in carbs. Incase of snacks, low carb cookies can do the trick.

Ingredients needed:

You will need 1 1/4 cups of almond flour

A cup of sugar substitute

Butter kept at room temperature, ¼ cup

A large egg

1 teaspoonful of vanilla

Fork

Two spoons

Cookie sheet

Mixer

Spatula

Non stick baking spray

Steps to follow

Begin with preheating the oven to degrees of 350

Mix the almond flour with the cooking friendly sugar substitute. Ensure they are well blended

The mix will be a bit rigid after everything has been mixed in. Ensure it is smooth and uniformly colored once you mix in the butter, vanilla and egg.

Once you are done with the mixing, spray the cookie sheets with the non stick cooking spray. This will make it easy to remove the low carb cookies once they are baked. With the spoons, form 1 inch balls. Then with one spoon, hollow out one spoonful of the cookie dough and with another spoon, push the dough off the bowl of the spoon resulting in round cookie balls placed on the cookie sheet.

The balls should be placed almost 2 inches away from each other on the cookie sheet, as they will slightly spread once they are baked. This way you will prevent them from forming one large cookie. In case you want to form a cross hatch pattern on their top, flatten each with a fork. With the fork still, press down on the top of the ball with its tines. The cookies may then be decorated with almonds or the sugar substitute. Bake them for 8 minutes until they are set and not brown. Serve once they have cooled down.

Cookies happen to be very popular with people with stores selling them making them easy to purchase. However, you will have to make sure you buy those that are good for your health by ensuring they do not contain any unhealthy ingredients. Some companies are now dealing with the production of low carb cookies, which ensure that you keep your blood sugar levels under control. The cookies contain no sugars as substitutes such as fruit juice or chocolate are used instead.
It would always be advisable to avoid taking cookies before you have had your meals. In case you have too many before the meal, then you will have to skip the next meal so you can balance the amount of carbohydrates in your body. Your cookie consumption level should be kept under check by buying them in small quantities.
